Lewis & Clark: A Rainy Day in the Vineyard
“Clark, why must you run around and get all sopping wet in the rain?” said Lewis, who was laying on the inside of the open garage.
“It’s so much fun, Lou!” yelled Clark before jumping in a puddle.
Lewis perked up a bit watching the young pup enjoy himself jumping in puddle after puddle. He rolled his eyes and thought to himself, ‘What a mindless way to spend your afternoon.’
Clark continued to prance through the rain, trying to catch every raindrop in his mouth. He was continuously finding ways to try and get Lewis to come out, but every attempt seemed to fail. All of the sudden Clark was struck with a brilliant idea! He ran into the garage and found Lewis’s favorite stuffed raccoon toy and drug it out into the rain. “Oh Leeewwwwiiiiisssss, look what I have,” Clark said mischievously.
“Clark! What do you think you’re doing?” Lewis started, “That is MY toy and you know it!”
“Whatcha gonna do about it?”
Lewis stood up, quite perturbed and made his way into the rain. The little droplets did feel kind of soothing on his chocolate brown fur. Lewis smirked before running after Clark who was excited that his buddy was finally coming to play with him. Clark ran to the other side of the driveway, and Lewis snatched the other end of the raccoon toy. They spent the rest of the afternoon in an exciting game of tug-o-war, that amused every guest who walked in.
“Yea, Yea,” Lewis said, “I guess you can be right every once in a while, you silly mutt.”
